Welcome! I’m Katelyn Joy.

I am an aspiring Christian fiction author who writes across multiple genres. I’ve been writing for basically my whole life, and I finished drafting my first novella at the age of 14, a contemporary story of a young man who aged out of foster care and how he finds Jesus. My main current work-in-progress is a contemporary middle grade novel, working title The Sullivan Six, which is about the Sullivan family–Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, 13-year-old Bria, 11-year-old twins Jaxon and Julianna, and 9-year-old Kiara–and their adventurous summer as they solve a mystery and learn about how God works all things together for good. I am also drafting a historical short story set on a Maine island during WWII that features a young woman that is dealing with the changes that the war has brought to her life and learning to trust God through them all.

When I’m not writing, I often can be found working on my Etsy shop, All Things in Order Co. I sell digital downloads to help others organize their time and inspire them in Christ. There is a large variety of templates, including schedule and goal planners, printable Scripture cards, templates for authors, holiday planners, and more! I also have a newsletter and a Pinterest page for my Etsy shop.

Here are some fun facts about me and my interests and hobbies outside of my writing and small business:

• I am a homeschool graduate and current college student.
• I have four pets, three guinea pigs and one aquatic dwarf frog.
• I love reading, and my favorite genres are contemporary Christian fiction and historical fiction (especially WWII fiction).
• A few of my favorite books (besides The Bible, which is my favorite book of all!) are Our Yellow Tape Letters by Caitlin Miller, Counted Worthy by Leah E. Good, O To Be Like Thee by Kassie Angle, and Beautiful Blue World by Suzanne LeFleur.
• My favorite book of the Bible is Romans.
• I love knitting.
• My favorite TV show is Sue Thomas, F.B.Eye., but I also love a lot of older TV shows (think Litte House on the Prairie, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, etc.)
• Some random things I love: cheesecake, brownies, board games, rain, classical music, plants, and road trips!
• I have participated in The King’s Daughters Writing Camp three times (I highly recommend it for all Christian ladies who enjoy writing!).
