September 2026 Wrap-Up

I can’t believe it is October already! That means that it is time for my September wrap-up!

Life Updates

  • At the beginning of the month, I had fun getting into some fall crafts and knitting some mini pumpkins! I made two for my room, and I am hoping to make a few more if I can find some free time.
  • I also decorated my room for fall! I used to have a desk with an attached bookshelf in my room that I would decorate, but since getting the gerbils, we had to move the desk out of my room to make room for their cage, so I got some floating bookshelves instead!
  • I also started school again this month! Honestly, not a lot has happened since then since I’m just getting back into the routine of classes, homework, writing tutoring, and everything!
  • Except for I did get to participate in Five Fall Favorites this year! I have followed along with FFF for several years as a reader, but this was first time being able to participate as a blogger, and it was so fun much!

Writing Updates

Like I said, not a lot has happened since school started… So, no writing this month! Hopefully I can get back on track with this in October! I did, however, officially announce that “A Shelter in the Storm” will be getting published in Wild Blue Wonder Press’s Whispers in Waves anthology in June 2027! If you missed my announcement post, you can find that here.

Etsy Updates

I was able to add three new listings in September! These included a Printable Morning Basket Planner for Homeschoolers, a Printable Colorado State Parks Checklist and Journal, and Beginner Bible Verse Cards for Toddlers and Preschoolers! The rebranding project is still in progress, too. My new goal for finishing is in time for the Cyber Week Sale, which will be beginning on November 23rd (you won’t want to miss it–50% off sitewide!).

Books I Read

September wasn’t the biggest reading month for me, but I suppose that is to be expected with school starting! I did finish 4 books, though. Here is the list:

Favorites This Month

Book: My favorite book I finished in September is Birds on a Wire by Katie Powner! This book was a very beautiful portrayal of foster care and all of the complexities involved. Read my review here.

Blog Post: I don’t know that I had a singular favorite blog post this month, but I did have a favorite blog party! If you missed the Five Fall Favorites party, check out host Katja’s introductory post here!

Bible Verse/Passage: In a small group Bible study I attend, we are studying the book of Ephesians. Here is a section that especially stood out to me:

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” Ephesians 1:17-21
