May 2026 Wrap-Up

May 2026 Wrap-Up

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great May! It was a busy month for me, and I’m excited to share more about it with you all!

Life Updates

  • Spring semester of school ended! I was very excited to get all of my assignments in and my semester grades back this month, and now I don’t have to worry about school again until next fall!
  • More free time after finishing school meant that I got to spend more time doing things with friends and family, which is so nice! Playing board games, doing puzzles, and going on walks have been some favorites lately!
  • My local library hosted a checkout challenge this month, so I had a lot of fun visiting the library frequently and finding good books to read, along with other things, like DVDs, crafting books, and puzzles.
  • I also went on a vacation with family to Colorado! It was so beautiful out there, and we did so many fun things, like driving through the Rocky Mountains, visiting Garden of the Gods and Denver Botanic Gardens, and lots of shopping!

Writing Updates

Writing is the one thing that didn’t really happen this month. I’ve read through parts of my WIPs and brainstormed ideas for how to proceed with my writings, but I haven’t actually put any words to the page. However, I think I am at a good place now to keep working on my stories in June!

Etsy Updates

I was able to design and list 8 new products this month! I have state park checklists and journals out for 5 new states, along with listing a few Mother’s Day and Graduation-related printables. If you might be interested in any of these new products, check out my Etsy page!

Also, I have another very exciting announcement! May 26th marked one year since I opened my Etsy shop, and I am hosting a giveaway to celebrate! I am giving away two sets of Scripture cards (Psalms + Proverbs) along with a specially-designed page of 4 bookmarks with Bible verses from Isaiah. If you are interested in entering the giveaway, you can check it out here!

Books I Read

In May, I finished 5 books! I read/listened to:

Favorites This Month

Book: My favorite book I read in May was Remember My Royalty by Hannah E. Griggs! This middle-grade historical fiction novel was interesting, informative, and encouraging. I did not know a lot about the Alamo prior to reading this story, and I loved learning more about it. I also appreciated the relatability of the characters and the lessons they learned. I will elaborate on my thoughts more when I post my review of Remember My Royalty next week!

Blog Post: A favorite blog post of mine this month was Rebekah A. Morris’s 8 Tips for Writing Short Stories. Writing short stories has never been my strongest writing skill, so I found these tips to be very informative and helpful!

Bible Verse/Passage: Reading through 1 Timothy last week, 1 Timothy 4:12 caught my eye. I have always loved this verse and the encouragement it provides for young people. No matter your age, you can make a difference for the Lord!

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)

Blog Post Round-Up
